Adrianne Calvo is a familiar face on the Miami dining scene; the young chef hosts a weekly cooking segment, Maximum Flavor Live, on South Florida’s NBC affiliate station and has competed on Food Network’s series, Chopped. After graduating from Johnson and Wales in 2004, the young chef earned numerous accolades, including first place in multiple cooking competitions such as Australia’s Taste Down Under, before opening Chef Adrianne’s Vineyard Restaurant and Wine Bar in 2007.

With the release of award winning culinary artist, Chef Adrianne Calvo’s third book at the end of this month titled, #MaximumFlavor Social we wanted you to get to know her a little better.
“What an amazing lunch with Chef Adrianne”
We started with the Panko crusted Goat Cheese Balls which have a balsamic reduction and fig jam with prosciutto. This is one of the best appetizers that you will ever have. So many flavors running around your mouth. Amazing!!
We then split the Ossobucco which comes with perfect mashed potatoes and tastes like it’s been simmering all week building up this rich, truffle-y, deep sauce that you never want to stop eating. The meat itself is soft and yet formidable. There was more than enough and for the (very reasonable) $5 split fee, we both had an amazing lunch that was most memorable.

The second annual edition of Taste of Miami–a dynamic charity event showcasing the unique and stylish flavors of South Florida through a delectable selection of culinary bites, premium spirits, and craft beverages from the city’s top restaurants–will take place Thursday, February 18, 2016 at Marlins Park. The evening will be hosted by renowned celebrity chef and Miami native Adrianne Calvo, as well as Miami Marlins All-Star pitcher Jose Fernandez. Proceeds from this event under the stars will benefit the Marlins Foundation, the Hispanic Food and Beverage Foundation, and the Miami Culinary Institute’s Joanna Rodriguez Memorial Scholarship Fund.

The “EVE OF PROHIBITION BALL” presented by Bacardi, will take place on Friday October 23rd, 2015 at the Westin Colonnade Coral Gables and will benefit The Ronald McDonald House Charities South Florida.
We are excited to announce our Celebrity Chef, Adrianne Calvo. Chef Calvo is a Cuban/American chef, author, television personality, and restaurateur. Calvo is the owner of Chef Adrianne’s Vineyard Restaurant and Wine Bar in Miami, Florida that opened in 2007. In 2002, Calvo enrolled at the culinary school Johnson & Wales University and entered more than forty national competitions, receiving first place in ten of the competitions and runner-up in all the rest. In 2013, Chef Adrianne Calvo won the “Master Holiday Chef Challenge”, Calvo being the youngest of the 14 competitors.
New Zealand lamb, Alaskan salmon with brown sugar crust garlic and sweet chili aioli, and wild corvina with Sicilian pistachio and truffle butter are not the usual menu items for a strip-mall restaurant in West Kendall. But for eight years, Adrianne Calvo, 31, has kept many of her 60 seats filled while writing four books, appearing on television and winning local, regional and national chef competitions. She opened Chef Adrianne’s Vineyard Restaurant and Wine Bar in 2007 just as the South Florida economy was imploding.
Filled with the love for food at a young age, Adrianne focused her efforts on her one true aspiration, cooking. At age 27, Adrianne has enjoyed an incredible number of accolades during her remarkable journey in becoming a nationally acclaimed chef. Coining the catch phrase, “Maximum Flavor”, Adrianne has managed to exceed to the “maximum” degree.
